Mark Beaumont, record-breaking long-distance Scottish cyclist, gave a talk at Edinburgh International book festival 2010. He held the record for cycling round the world, completing his 18,297 miles route in February 2008, in 194 days & 17 hours. 2010 he cycled from Anchorage, USA to Ushuaia in Southern Argentina for a BBC.
