John Byrne, born in Paisley and attended Glasgow School of Art. Scottish painter, set designer, playwright, novelist. Best known for his plays the Slab Boys Trilogy and Tutti Frutti. He has designed record sleeves for Donovan and The Beatles. His work is held in major collections in Scotland and abroad.
